About Me: Why I Created Rooted Minds
Many parents are doing far more right than they realize. Yet when a child struggles with anxiety, regulation, or behaviors that schools do not always understand, families can quickly feel overwhelmed and unsure where to begin.
Behavior is often the language of an overwhelmed nervous system. When that language is misunderstood, children struggle and the path forward can feel unclear.

That mindset has shaped my relationship with education for as long as I can remember. Growing up around education gave me an early perspective on how complex school environments can be for children whose needs are not immediately understood.
I started in Speech Pathology and Audiology, earned my Master’s in Special Education, and spent years working inside schools as a paraeducator, education specialist, and administrator supporting students, families, and educators. Through those roles, I developed a deep understanding of both the educational system and the challenges families face navigating it.
Rooted Minds was created to bridge those worlds.
Through coaching, school advocacy, professional development, and regulation-focused guidance, I help families and educators understand the nervous system, build regulation strategies, and work together so every child feels understood at home and at school.
Because when the path forward is not immediately clear, there is always a way forward.
