Parent coaching and consultation rooted in nervous system science, compassion, and real world strategies for families raising children whose brains process the world differently.
Rooted Minds supports both families and the educators who partner with them, creating calmer homes, more supportive classrooms, and children who feel understood in both spaces.
Behavior is communication. Learn to decode what your child's nervous system is telling you.
Build co-regulation skills that turn overwhelming moments into opportunities for connection and growth.
Navigate school systems with confidence. IEPs, 504s, and accommodations demystified.
Most parents are doing far more right than they realize.
But when a child struggles with anxiety, regulation, communication, or behaviors that schools do not always fully understand, families can quickly find themselves overwhelmed, navigating systems and decisions they were never prepared for.
Behavior is often the language of an overwhelmed nervous system. When that language is misunderstood, both children and parents can end up feeling frustrated, discouraged, and alone.
My work grew from a desire to change that experience for families.
Again and again, I met caring parents doing everything they could for their children while still feeling unsure where to begin. I also saw how powerful it can be when families and educators understand a child's nervous system together.
I studied speech pathology, earned a Master's in Special Education, and spent years working inside schools supporting students, families, and educators. As a teacher and later in special education leadership and program administration, I gained a deep understanding of how schools operate and where families most often need support.
That is why I created Rooted Minds.
Rooted Minds helps parents understand both the systems they are navigating and the nervous systems of the children they love. Through coaching, school advocacy support, and regulation focused guidance, families gain practical strategies to support their child's communication, emotional regulation, and daily experience.
When families understand regulation and how schools operate, everything begins to shift. Parents feel calmer. Children feel more understood. Families become more connected.
And parents gain the clarity and confidence to advocate for what their child truly needs, both at home and at school.
Behavior isn't fixed. It's understood.
